Professional career

More than 20 years building software.

From real-time applications and web portals to cross-platform products, architecture, team leadership and agentic AI.

Defining moments

Five moments that explain how I work.

  1. IRISBOND · 2022—today

Two physical products in seven months, without being a designer.

I temporarily led the Product Design team (one internal person and two external) with a fixed brief: two accessible products ready for manufacturing in seven months. It wasn’t my turf. I had to understand commercial and user needs, turn them into design decisions, and keep the link with applications, hardware and accessibility.

Oskol Windows and Oskol iOS were manufactured and put on sale on time.

  2. Ibermática · 2019—2021

A full team and an architecture from scratch.

I led a development team of four engineers and defined the architecture of Barcelona City Council’s mobility app, coordinating the mobile side with the REST API team in a demanding environment.

Architecture, team and deliveries under my responsibility, end to end.

  3. Enagora · 2020—2022

    Leading teams that weren’t mine.

From my own company I delivered projects for consultancies while leading the consultancy’s own teams: defining scope, coordinating and delivering with people who didn’t report to me, where authority had to be earned on every decision.

More than ten projects delivered for mid-sized and large companies.

  4. Venta Peio · 2013—2018

From 18 hours to 7: the first mobile stocktake.

I started developing for mobile in the early days of Xamarin, when hardly anyone was betting on it. We automated the company’s stocktake with Android and iOS apps integrated with internal data.

The stocktake went from 18 hours to 7 in the first iteration and to around 5 in the following ones.

  5. Lander · 2005

The first change I led came without a title.

The railway simulators were trying to run, in real time, 3D environments built for renderings. They didn’t perform, and nobody questioned the process. I proposed changing it and proved it myself: I cut the geometry, replaced modelled detail with textures, applied video-game techniques and integrated the first optimised environments into the real simulator, not a separate prototype.

The method was adopted for every environment that followed and helped create an in-house 3D department.

Twenty years later I still work the same way: detect, propose, prove it in the product, then scale.

IRISBOND

Application Development Team Lead

Technical leadership without leaving engineering: accessible applications for Windows, iOS and Android connected to the Hiru eye tracker.

  • I lead a team of five and turn product goals into architecture, priorities and deliveries.
  • I define technical strategy, estimates and plans; I review code and get hands-on in C#, .NET and C++ when the problem requires it.
  • I lead the handling of technical incidents that cross departments (product, support, hardware), with root-cause analysis: resolution time dropped by 20–30%.
  • I drive modernisation, quality, maintainability, automation and cross-platform release processes.
  • I mentor new professionals and students on bachelor’s and master’s final projects.
  • For about seven months I temporarily led Product Design: a mixed team, commercial needs and two Oskol products taken to manufacturing.

2020—Jul 2022

Enagora

Founder & Software Engineering Lead

An independent product-and-engineering chapter in which I owned the full cycle: spot a need, build, ship and operate.

  • I designed the architecture and developed my own products and client solutions for mobile, desktop and backend.
  • I delivered projects for consultancies while leading the consultancy’s own teams.
  • I integrated native Android and iOS code and libraries into cross-platform products.
  • I worked with automation and AI tools applied to programming, review, testing, documentation and diagnostics.
  • I built and evolved my own products such as Momentuan and Txikinet, and set up the infrastructure behind them: an ESXi server and automated deliveries with Jenkins.
  • More than ten projects delivered for mid-sized and large companies, from sale to operation.

2019—2021

Ibermática

Senior Analyst

Mobile app for Barcelona City Council, connecting the functional and technical decisions of mobile and backend.

  • I led a development team of four engineers and defined the mobility app’s architecture.
  • I analysed requirements and built features in Xamarin.Forms, Xamarin.Android and Xamarin.iOS.
  • I coordinated the mobile side with the REST API team.
  • I aligned mobile–backend dependencies, planned deliveries and tracked technical progress.
  • I worked with unit and UI tests, continuous integration and quality gates.

2019—2020

LKS

Senior .NET consultant

Evolution of Microsoft enterprise applications with a focus on architecture, operational continuity and progressive modernisation.

  • I took part in architecture decisions and the technical evolution of existing systems.
  • I designed and maintained business logic and reusable components.
  • I diagnosed performance problems and fragile points in production applications.
  • I modernised gradually, making new technology coexist with legacy .NET systems.

2013—2018

Venta Peio

Senior analyst and developer

End-to-end responsibility for internal software and digital solutions tied to the business’s daily operation.

  • I turned the needs of different departments into maintainable applications and supported them in production.
  • I built Android and iOS apps with Xamarin, in its early days, integrated with internal processes and data: the stocktake went from 18 hours to 7 in the first iteration and to around 5 later.
  • I built portals, magazines and e-commerce with ASP.NET MVC and web technologies.
  • I created .NET desktop tools connected to SQL Server and SQLite.
  • I handled support, diagnostics and continuous evolution, not just the initial delivery.

2012—2013

Adimedia and Enagora’s first chapter

Senior developer · freelance

Portals with real traffic, first mobile apps and, in parallel, Enagora as an independent business for local companies.

  • I built and maintained portals and services in ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC in production.
  • First Xamarin apps, and complete websites with PHP, .NET, Joomla! and PrestaShop, including SEO and lead generation.

2005—2011

Simulation, 3D and first projects

Lander Simulation · Simax Virt · Virtual Shapes · freelance

The beginning: railway and driving simulators, real-time 3D environments, user interfaces and the first jobs of my own.

  • Interfaces for train simulators in Borland C++ Builder and 3D environments optimised for real time (the featured story above).
  • Internal tools, 3D Studio scripts and C#/XNA work on the simulator engine.
  • Architectural visualisation and ASP.NET/SharePoint services; the first projects where I learned to define scope and deliver to a client.
