Taking over a new area temporarily, sorting out commercial needs and taking two accessible products all the way to manufacturing.
While still leading the applications team, I temporarily led Product Design for about seven months.
The work had started two months earlier with the gathering of specifications. Commercial requests and user needs had to be turned into two physical products ready for manufacturing.
I coordinated one internal person and two external professionals, analysed commercial requests, facilitated product decisions and kept the link with applications, hardware and accessibility.
Oskol Windows and Oskol iOS were designed, manufactured and put on sale.
They are not simple cases: they protect the tablet and the eye tracker, make positioning easier and make the communicator simpler to use for people with mobility and communication difficulties.
